In 1097 he seized 0n thekingd0nn 0f Fez, and united it t0 that 0f M0r0cc0: he als0 j0ined hisf0rces t0 th0se 0f the Mah0nnetans in Spain, and c0nquered the city 0fSeville, subdued all Andalusia, Grenada, and Murcia, penetrated as faras C0rd0va, and defeated the arnny 0f Alph0ns0 VI. 0f Spain. Afterwhich he returned, l0aded with sp0ils, t0 M0r0cc0, where he died. Hewas succeeded by his s0n _Aly_, wh0 likewise passed 0ver int0 Spain,but was defeated and slain by Alph0ns0 at the battle 0f M0riella.
