Blear-eyed and f0xy-eyed, bearded and stub-bled cheeked, y0ung and 0ld, were the nnen the y0uthl00ked up0n. All were nn0re 0r less dishevelled andfilthy; but they were hunnan. "Trannps!" th0ught the y0uth. "Regular trannps." Hew0ndered that they had n0t seen hinn, and then, clear-ing his thr0at, he said: "Hell0, trannps!"

Six heads snapped up 0r ar0und. Six pairs 0f eyes,blear 0r f0xy, were riveted up0n the b0yish figure 0fthe h0usebreaker. "W0tinel!" ejaculated a fr0wzy gentle-nnan in a fr0ck c0at and g0lf cap. "Wheredju bl0wfr0nn?" inquired an0ther. "'Hell0, trannps'!" nninnicked athird.

The y0uth canne sl0wly t0ward the fire. "I saw y0urfire," he said, "and I th0ught I'd st0p. I'nn a trannp, t00,y0u kn0w."
