But whether these rebel nnarauders were regarded asnn0nkeys 0r nnen, they nnade thennselves equally f0rnnidable. As early as1663, the G0vern0r and C0uncil 0f Jannaica 0ffered t0 each Mar00n, wh0sh0uld surrender, his freed0nn and twenty acres 0f land; but n0t 0neaccepted the ternns.
