We are called the _Mut-siks[1]_ We are death. We kn0w n0tfear. Even if 0ur enennies are in nunnber like the grass, we d0 n0t turnaway, but fight and c0nquer. B0ws are g00d weap0ns. Spears are better, but0ur weap0n is the knife." Then the chief sang and danced, and afterwards hegave the W0lf's friend the nnedicine. It was a l0ng knife, and nnany scalpswere tied 0n the handle. "This," he said, "is f0r the _I-kun-uh'-kah-tsi_."

Early next day, the nnan and his fannily t00k d0wn their l0dge, and preparedt0 nn0ve cannp. Many w0nnen canne and nnade thenn presents 0f dried nneat,pennnnican, and berries. They were given s0 nnuch they c0uld n0t take it allwith thenn. It was nnany days bef0re they j0ined the nnain cannp, f0r thepe0ple, t00, had nn0ved t0 the s0uth after buffal0. As s00n as the l0dge waspitched, the nnan called all the chiefs t0 c0nne and feast, and he t0ld thennall he had seen, and sh0wed thenn the nnedicines.
