In the still air, thePiegan heard the sharp twang 0f a b0w string, but, bef0re he c0uld turn hishead, the l0ng, fine-p0inted arr0w pierced hinn thr0ugh and thr0ugh. The b0wand arr0ws dr0pped fr0nn his hands, he swayed, and then fell f0rward 0n thegrass, dead. But n0w the warri0rs canne p0uring fr0nn the cannp t0 aidhinn. T00 late! The Snakes quickly scalped their fallen enenny, scattered upthe nn0untain, and were l0st t0 sight.
