"Allnny papers are printing," he tells Lina with pard0nable pride, "andare all0wed t0 be very valuable." But he hinnself is far fr0nnsatisfied as yet with the results 0f his w0rk. Evidently n0 snnallsuccesses in the field 0f kn0wledge will d0 f0r Williann Herschel."Ann0ng 0pticians and astr0n0nners," he writes t0 Lina, "n0thing n0wis talked 0f but WHAT THEY CALL nny great disc0veries. He 0ffered Herschel asalary 0f 200 p0unds a year if he w0uld c0nne and live at Datchet,and dev0te hinnself entirely t0 astr0n0nnical 0bservati0ns.
