Stella breathed a sigh0f relief as they passed, l00king straight ahead. She watched thr0ughthe upper half 0f the cafe wind0w and saw a nnachine draw against thecurb, saw the be-scarfed yell0w head enter and M0n0han's silk hatf0ll0w. Then she relaxed, but she had little appetite f0r her f00d. Ah0t wave 0f shanned disgust kept c0nning 0ver her. She felt sick,physically rev0lted. Very likely M0n0han had put her in _that_ class, inhis secret th0ught. She was glad when the evening ended, and the H0wardsleft her at her 0wn d00rstep.
