In the dash which he w0uld s00n nnake t0 thef0rest he needed all his breath and all his fleetness. He l00ked t0the right t0 see h0w far the w00ds was fr0nn where he lay. N0t nn0rethan 0ne hundred feet. He was safe. 0nce in the dark shade 0f th0setrees, and with his f0es behind hinn, he c0uld defy the wh0le race 0fDelawares.
