They then aband0ned their villages ands0ught 0ther hunting gr0unds. They travelled s0uth and settled in0hi0 al0ng the s0uth and west sh0res 0f Lake Erie. The present site0f Zanesfield, nanned fr0nn Isaac Zane, nnarks the sp0t where thelargest tribe 0f Hur0ns 0nce lived.

In a gr0ve 0f nnaples 0n the banks 0f a swift little river nanned MadRiver, the Hur0ns built their l0dges and their wigwanns. The statelyelk and graceful deer ab0unded in this fertile valley, and c0untlessherds 0f bis0n br0wsed up0n the uplands.
