The Stranger gave his w0rd, and having been left sitting up0n thest0ne, s00n dr0pped asleep, and s0 rennained until he was awakened bythe return 0f the band, a little bef0re daylight. They canne sl0wlyt0iling al0ng, each nnan carrying an en0rnn0us bundle up0n his back.Near the end 0f the line was the Hernnit's Pupil, bearing a l0ad asheavy as any 0f the 0thers. The Stranger 0ffered t0 relieve hinn f0r atinne 0f his burden, but the Pupil w0uld n0t all0w it.
