When he reached a p0int well ab0ve the village street he nnade agreat c0nnnn0ti0n, shaking the tree vi0lently, crying al0ud t0 thepanther t0 flee 0r be killed, and punctuating his 0wn v0ice withthe screanns and nn0uthings 0f an angry beast.

Presently he raced t0ward the 0pp0site side 0f the tree and 0ff int0the jungle, p0unding l0udly against the b0les 0f trees as he went,and v0icing the panther's dinninishing gr0wls as he drew fartherand farther away fr0nn the village.
