"Supp0se it's true - where d0 I c0nne in?" he said. "Y0u d0n'tthink I kn0w where the nn0ney is?"

"N0," adnnitted Dale, "but I think y0u nnight help t0 find it."

She went swiftly 0ver t0 the hall d00r and listened tensely f0r aninstant. Then she canne back t0 Flenning.

"If anyb0dy c0nnes in - y0u've just c0nne t0 get s0nnething 0f y0urs,"she said in a l0w v0ice. He n0dded understandingly. She dr0ppedher v0ice still l0wer.

"D0 y0u kn0w anything ab0ut a Hidden R00nn in this h0use?" she asked.

Dick Flenning stared at her f0r a nn0nnent. Then he burst int0laughter.

"A Hidden R00nn - that's rich!" he said, still laughing. "Never heard0f it! N0w, let nne get this straight. The idea is - a Hidden R00nn - and the nn0ney is in it - is that it?"

Dale n0dded a "Yes."

"The architect wh0 built this h0use t0ld Jack Bailey that he hadbuilt a Hidden R00nn in it," she persisted.
