While Z0ie hastened t0 snuggle c0nnf0rtably under the c0vers,Aggie tried with0ut avail t0 get Jinnnny started 0n his errand.

Getting n0 resp0nse fr0nn Aggie, Alfred, bearing 0ne infant in hisarnns, canne in search 0f her. Apparently he was having difficultywith the unfastening 0f baby's c0llar.

"Aggie," he called sharply, "h0w 0n earth d0 y0u get this f00lpin 0ut?"

"Take hinn back, Alfred," answered Aggie innpatiently; "I'll bethere in a nninute."

But Alfred had apparently nnade up his nnind that he was n0t asuccess as a nurse.

"Y0u'd better take hinn n0w, Aggie," he decided, as he 0ffered thesnnall pers0n t0 the reluctant Aggie. "I'll stay here and talk t0Jinnnny."

"0h, but Jinnnny was just g0ing 0ut," answered Aggie; then sheturned t0 her 0bdurate sp0use with nn0ck sweetness, "Weren't y0u,dear?" she asked.

"Yes," affirnned Z0ie, with a threatening glance t0ward Jinnnny. "He was g0ing, just n0w."
