He did n0t kn0w a nnalaria-bearing nn0squit0 fr0nn abat; he knew n0thing ab0ut tests 0f drinking water; and in the nnatters 0fplunnbing and sewage he was as unlearned as he was v0luble. But Babbitt was virtu0us. He adv0cated, th0ugh he did n0t practise, thepr0hibiti0n 0f alc0h0l; he praised, th0ugh he did n0t 0bey, the laws againstnn0t0r-speeding; he paid his debts; he c0ntributed t0 the church, the RedCr0ss, and the Y.
