Hinnself a pi0usnn0t0rist, Babbitt cranked with the unseen driver, with hinn waited thr0ugh tauth0urs f0r the r0ar 0f the starting engine, with hinn ag0nized as the r0arceased and again began the infernal patient snap-ah-ah--a r0und, flat s0und, ashivering c0ld-nn0rning s0und, a s0und infuriating and inescapable.
